Flexco Introduces Novitool® Aero® 325 Splice Press for Live Roller and Transport Tote Applications

Flexco recently announced the addition of the Novitool® Aero® 325 Splice Press to its family of endless splicing tools. The Aero 325 Splice Press and its narrow belt templates are ideal for live roller and transport belt applications, along with other thermoplastic PVC or PU belting.

The main advantage of this press over traditional methods is that live roller belts can be spliced in 18-22 minutes, about a third of the time of current splicing tools. Traditional flat belts can be spliced in as few as eight minutes. Plus, the Aero 325 Splice Press produces consistent, repeatable, quality splices every time.

“Flexco understands how critical cycle time is in a downtime situation,” Flexco Product Manager Michelle Graves says. “That is why we are pleased to introduce this easy-to-use, portable splicing tool that finishes a splice in a third of the time of traditional presses, significantly increasing uptime.”

Specially designed, easy to use

The programming of the Aero 325 Splice Press is intuitive, whether splicing traditional thermoplastic belts or with belt templates for narrow belts.

Once you have positioned the template, splice recipes are easy to program into the integrated controller. Users can either manually enter or import recipes and store them in “groups” on the Aero Press by belt manufacturer, customer, and other categories for easy organization.

“Users can recall saved recipes for specific belts, providing consistent, high-quality splice performance regardless of which technician is operating the press,” Graves says. “This makes training a breeze and splice repeatability palpable.”

The Aero 325 also includes Aero Connectivity, which allows users to access and evaluate splice cycle data and manage updates to the controller firmware software for ongoing press advancements.

Portable, multiple voltages

Another benefit of the Aero 325 is its robust all-in-one design, discouraging damage and lost components. Thanks to the wheeled transport case, it is still lightweight enough for operators to take it to any location on the line for repairs.

The Aero 325 press is also designed to be compatible with multiple voltages, including 110 V and 230V, which makes repairs more accessible. Full power is also registered on all cables, with no reduction in voltage. Simply select the power cord or cords required for splicing in your facility, and the Aero 325 will automatically accommodate the incoming voltage.
